I-Plan Inventory Planning

Excel at customer service and reduce inventory cost through efficient stock strategies and automated, demand-driven replenishment
Protect the buffer between production cycles and continuous delivery – and maintain promised service levels with optimal inventory strategies. Using real-time data from your sales and production systems, I-Plan helps you automatically maintain optimum stock strategies and levels. Leave the heavy lifting to I-Plan Using real-time inventory levels, and actual order status, I-Plan calculates the time-varying safety stock profiles needed to meet your SLAs across your distribution network. Including any inventory you’re managing on behalf of customers in their warehouses (VMI). Manage by exception The inventory planner only needs to review the exceptions and take action where needed, confirming the order suggestions. I-Plan does the rest, scheduling the replenishment orders in the production plan and creating deliveries for the transport planner to action.

Key Features

Enterprise-wide inventory planning

Go from daunting process into automated global inventory management and manufacturing. From planning stock levels for multi-location orders, and considering impacts on service, production capacity, transport schedules, to lead times, replenishment, minimum batch and full pallet quantities – all impacts are considered and automatically sorted.

Automatic order creation

Automatically create every type of order for every day of the planning horizon. Base new orders on the previous day’s production, inventory, distribution, customer orders, and short-term adjustments to the forecast demand. Production orders are scheduled ‘just in time’. And where there are capacity constraints, a ‘fair share’ allocation is automatically performed.

Manage by exception

See daily inventory profiles for each item in graphical views with easily identifiable issues. With thousands of inventory items, the vast majority of which are within normal limits, not needing attention, I-Plan allows the inventory planner to only see items requiring actioning. So the production plan, order quantities, and additional transport capacity can easily be adapted. Or the risk can be understood and accepted.
