I-Plan Order Promising

Automate delivery date promises with real time resource reservation for centralised or distributed order inquiries. No phone calls, no double booking

Maintain your customer service levels, and grow your sales, with promises you can keep. With I-Plan’s automated Availability To Promise (ATP) system, say goodbye to accepting orders that can’t be delivered on time.

Availability To Promise – conquering complexity

Give customers the ease and peace of mind of instant confirmation, or a clear alternative, while helping the business make the best use of the available inventory and production capacity at each point in your supply network.

We use scheduling algorithms that make ATP more accurate and reliable, particularly in environments where multiple salespeople are competing for the same production capacity or inventory. The ATP evaluation starts by checking against the agreed allocations/sales quotas. If the quota check passes then inventory and production capacity are allocated considering production and transportation lead times. If the promised date is accepted by the customer, the orders are created and the resources, booked.

Key Features

Call from any order processing system

Order Promising is easy to integrate with your order entry system, providing feasible delivery dates with fast response. It handles multiple concurrent requests from your customer service team, ensuring capacity is not double booked.

Multiple scheduling modes
Support both your make to order (MTO) and make to stock (MTS) business by reserving inventory and production capacity until the order is accepted. The module also allows you to schedule just in time (JIT) to meet a requested date or promise as soon as possible (ASAP).
Configurable business rules
Sales quota and capacity checks can be configured to align with your customer service strategy. The module can split orders across multiple sources, or combine them to deliver all parts together. It can also plan multiple deliveries, taking into account your shipping schedules and working day calendars.
